As a subscriber to the Globe and Mail, I am happy to hear you are treated well and respected. And, great cartoon as always.

Boohoo— the two adolescents have had a love spat. What would two mature adults do differently in this situation? Asking for millions of Americans…

Mature adults don't have Titanic crushes. They recognize and accept the limitations of the other throughout the relationship.

Do you know how an atomic bomb works? You have two chunks of weapons-grade uranium or plutonium close but separated from each other. A conventional explosive charge rams the two together and they achieve critical mass and explode. In this case, you had two chunks of weapons-grade ego that spent a little over 9 months too close to each other, and after a suitable gestational period they exploded. 'I'm sorry but I just can't stand it anymore.'

The heart looks a lot like a womb.

That's a skillfully drawn analogy, Kathleen Weber, without a scintilla of actual sensitivity of, by, for, or with either personality for the other. Each of these men is a tragicomedy figure incapable of friendship and sharing. Wealth, control, and adoration, are the reason each of them gets out of bed every day.

IMO, the same person can be a tragic figure and a gigantic jackass at the same time.

I just read a really amazing coast on the tragic background of Elon Musk.

Nice toon. It is amazing how much damage Bezos did to the Washington Post with his editorial interference. The Globe has been a suitable substitute for me.

As always, great cartoon today, Michael 👏 "Timely" work today and will be so a month from now.

I remain floored you publish (a) every day on this platform (b)with consistently awesome cartoons whose (c)wit and (d) artistry *we* appreciate. (Yes, I speak for *we* the world 🙋‍♀️)

Glad G&M is respectful to you. I seem to recall interviews (or blog article?) where you shared raw insights about behind-the-scenes unhealthy workplace cultures throughout your career +something re WaPo along the lines of "I don't work with them anymore. That was terrible."

Great one again! This is still very timely….. seems like one of their feelings got so hurt he’s lashed out at LA in the worst of ways! Always a tantrum with this one when he doesn’t get his way!

Spot on, as usual, but nonetheless disgusting, and tragically harmful to literally millions of people and their families: without jobs, careers, income, and dignity.

Ah, The Globe & Mail! Once the bastion of my early toon-favorite, Richard Needham, aka Rudolf J. Needleberry or Rasputin J. Novgorod.

The Globe became vicariously known as The Gloat & Wail, the Mop & Pail & the Grope & Flail. His endearing toons captured in 4 volumes, with accompanying sarcastically biting 'bon mots', are still occupiers of my dusty bookshelves.

You are in good company, sir.
